Library Makeover

Good News, the studio library has gotten a makeover! Thanks to the work of Lynne, Simone, Elisabeth, Nova, and Constance, all of the books in the weaving studio’s library have been organized. We also have a new library computer that serves as a digital catalog of all the books on the shelves. Simone has rearranged all the books alphabetically and by author. There is also a Special Collection Section as well as a Magazine Section that has the most recent issues of various weaving publications.

Curious about what kind of books you’ll find in our collection? We have a list of the entire catalog available online under our ‘Resources’ tab through LibraryThing.

Also, there’s a new addition to the library. One of the members found a shelf and took time and effort to refurbish it. It’s now a nice place to feature new books and even has a rod for displaying woven fabrics.

One of the many things I love about Ruthie’s Weaving Studio is the extensive collection of weaving resources, and I’m looking forward to the next time I browse the shelves for inspiration for my next weaving project. Make sure to check it out if you have the chance!
